Bob Girot ~ Modern Vinyl Fence & Deck ~ Frisco, TX

We bought our first BLOCK in February of 2006 while attending the Fencing Convention that year. It seemed like a simple, inexpensive, easy to use tool that made leveling vinyl fence posts easier. Over the next nine years we used it to level literally thousands of posts into the hard clay soil of the Dallas area. It finally broke in two earlier this year (2015). It had become a tool that we had grown totally dependent on and it had certainly functioned as advertised. Using a piece of wood or some other alternative never entered our minds after using the BLOCK. I feel the BLOCK is a must have tool if you are installing vinyl fencing and I can assure you it will pay for itself in efficiency and saved time on the job countless times over!

The BLOCK has proved to be an indispensable tool and all our crews carry one. I have also sold many to my wholesale customers. We have found additional uses as a wedge when lifting a vinyl fence and even use it to knock down a stubborn chain link post. Great value

We had trouble finding a material that could take the abuse of repeated hits from a sledge hammer. I set the post in the hole, once plum and where I want it I have one of my guys put the BLOCK on top, usually a Country Estate 5″x 5″ post, and drive it a few inches in the hard ground. This allows me to put concrete in without fear of moving the bottom of the post. The post walls are pretty thin causing everything else we used to just split or the 5″x 5″ post would cut through it. We tried a metal plate and that broke the post. The BLOCK has allowed us to drive countless posts without breaking the post or the BLOCK. We do miles of vinyl a year and the average BLOCK lasts a few years, making it an essential tool for my crews. The material is tough enough for extreme abuse, yet it doesn’t break the vinyl posts. Thanks for making a quality product that pays for itself by the first job.

The Block is so much better than the wood 2×4’s we used previously to align our posts. It’s always in our installation trucks and used on our jobs.

Over a period of about 5 years, my husband and I surrounded our little horse farm with 2000 feet of Country Estate fence, provided by Acreage Fences. We did the work ourselves and set over 250 posts by hand. The part we prided ourselves in most was getting each one the exact height necessary to form a perfect fence line. This, of course, involved some pounding of posts into the ground, inspecting, and pounding some more. My husband yielded the sledge hammer, and it was my job to hold a piece of wood on top of the post in order to distribute the impact uniformly and not damage the post. We tried everything from 2×4’s to 2x8s, 2x12s and chunks of things, all of which broke, flew apart, or splintered. At one point, one of the board slipped and two of my fingers served the purpose. I nearly lost one of them in the accident. Our project got put on hold when I retired as board cap holder. The invention of “The Block: is definitely the best tool devised since the PVC fence itself. It makes planting posts so much easier, and is a safety tool of inestimable worth! My fingers are fine, our fence is complete, and who knows “The Block” may have saved our marriage!
